Fortress Kuelap



Kuelap Fortress is a pre-Inka construction of 500 AD is a mega archaeological complex considered the most important of Peru after Macchu Picchu, has an approximate size of 5 hectares resembles a fortified citadel that houses in its interior about 400 circular houses, ceremonial temples, strategic places of sighting, selective entrances, walls decorated with geometric figures and carved anthropomorphic figures, located on the 3000 masl has a spectacular view of the mountains that are around it.

To visit it we can do it using the Cableway of Kuelap, from the village of Nuevo tingo, by road through the communities of Tingo, Choctamal, Longita and Maria and walking from the old town of Tingo 8 km to the top of the mountain
